Halloween is a big event in the W3 neighbourhood - many families take part, thousands of sweets are distributed and it’s always a fun night with a great community feel.
We’ll be starting at the Aston Rowe offices from 3-5pm for free face painting fun.
Teams around Acton will be collecting donations with OFFICIAL collection buckets between 5pm-7pm. (We’re looking to sign up volunteers for as many streets as possible, if you are able to join, get in touch)
At 7pm all teams will converge on the final meeting place, Poets Corner Community Garden on Chaucer Rd where “treats” will be available for the collection teams.
During the evening we’ll have a number of volunteers taking photos of the best dressed to be entered into a competition. To be in with a chance to win you can also submit photos via Instagram, FB or Twitter using the hashtag #W3Halloween tagging @ChurchfieldRdW3 and @AstonRowe
Competition Categories will be:
Best Dressed House
Best Dressed Adult (m)
Best Dressed Adult (f)
Best Dressed Kid (m)
Best Dressed Kid (f)
Best Shop Window
Best Dressed Shop Team
The best dressed house will win a £50 cash prize from Aston Rowe, the other prizes are currently being sourced from local business and will be confirmed next week. Maps showing streets that are taking part will be released ahead of the evening.
Can you volunteer to lead a collection team for your street?
Can you help take photos to be submitted for judging?
Can you offer a prize for any of the competition categories?
Perhaps you can match fund our collection or know a person who can?
