The Brief

To help West London Art Factory and JG Contemporary to put together Acton Unframed, a project to bring world class street art to Acton, in West London.

Tasks Completed

We partnered up with West London Art Factory and JG Contemporary to gain maximum exposure for the project. We were responsible for the strategy, marketing and crowdfunding campaign. Tasks included PR, Social Media, Email Marketing & Local Influencer Campaigns.

Results

We secured funding from the Mayor of London, Acton BID, L&Q, Ealing Council, Acton Central Ward Forum, South Acton Ward Forum, over 20 local business and over 150 residents. We overfunded to raise £55K pounds and delivered the first of 5 murals in August 2018. The success of the campaign lead to additional opportunities for the partners involved.

Amongst the many community-led projects I’ve worked with, this Acton Unframed crowdfunding campaign is one of the best examples, as to how a group can successfully mobilise widespread community support for an idea that can potentially change their neighbourhood for the better. The campaign really has caught the attention of so many people in and around Acton. I look forward to seeing the murals in place”.
